Zuma is currently offering private classes in Stringing I or Pearl Knotting only at this time. The fee is $25 for the first hour and $20 for each additional hour. Private classes are scheduled for evenings at this time.

Private group classes for Stringing I or Pearl Knotting may also be scheduled with a minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 5. If you form your own group, the fee is $25 per person for up to a 2 hour class. Private group classes are scheduled for evenings at this time.

A description of Stringing I and Pearl Knotting follow.

Stringing I -- Students are introduced to the basic tools and findings necessary to construct a basic necklace and pair of earrings. Students learn how to crimp a clasp on Soft Flex wire and how to turn a headpin to make a pair of simple dangle earrings.

Pearl Knotting -- Saturday, July 26 or Saturday, August 30. Students learn to knot in between beads with knotting tweezers and silk thread. A knotted glass bead bracelet will be completed in class.

Tools are not included in the class fee. Students have the option of using the store's tools for the class if they wish, but are encouraged to bring their own tools to class to increase familiarity.

To sign up for a class, please stop by or call the shop at 314-862-3345. You may reserve your space with a credit card, or mail in a check. The minimum age requirement for all our classes is 13.

There are no refunds for a class cancelled by a student the day of the class. If you require glasses or readers to make jewelry, please don't forget them!
